What is MAT Exam?

MAT is the abbreviation of the Management Aptitude Test. AIMA (All India Management Association) organized the MAT entrance exam at the national level 4 times a year. MAT is organized in two ways- PBT also known as Paper Based Test and CBT also called Computer Based Test. Some of the government-operated management institutes also accept admission through MAT results.

Reason for Appearing in MAT Exam

  • As we already discussed MAT exam provides flexibility to the candidates. They can opt for timing and mode of examination as per their convenience.
  • MAT pays more attention to the evaluation of the aptitude skills of a candidate and has a similar structure to CAT. But it’s easy to crack and because of the similarity in syllabus candidates can prepare for another entrance exam along with MAT.
  • Limitations on age and the number of attempts are not applicable in the MAT exams.
