About CAT Exam - 2023
The admit card for the CAT 2023 exam will be available on November 7, 2023. All the aspirants can download their admit cards using their user ID and password. The exam of 2023 will be held on November 26, 2023. As per the news coming almost 3.3 Lakh students have applied for the exam this year. So the level of exam is going to be tougher this time as there is a 30% increase CAT registration. In this 38% are females which takes up their participation to 1.17 lakhs. A total of 5500+ seats are there in 20 IIMs for these students are fighting.

What is CAT Exam?
CAT exam is an entrance exam conducted online and tests the aptitude skills of the candidate. In 2023 more than 3,30,000 students applied for this exam to try their fortune of getting admission to the top management institute of India. CAT is also known as the Common admission test and refer as one of the most competitive exams in India. IIM Lucknow is going to host the exam this year in 155 cities and 410+ centres in India. Along with the Indian Institute of Management, more than 1400 other top management schools also accept the CAT score for admission.
One Interesting fact about the exam is that it is conducted on the last Sunday of November every year. This exam comes on the list of the top 5 toughest exams in India. Also, all the CAT participating institutes have their own criteria for accepting the CAT exam score and granting admission to candidates. The whole process of selection via CAT includes Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. After all three round the final merit is released by the Institutes and on the basis of that, the seats are allocated to candidates.

Eligibility Criteria of CAT Exam
If you are looking to participate in CAT then you need to satisfy the below-mentioned criteria :
- All the cat aspirants are required to have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks if they belong to the general or OBC category. And if aspirants are from SC/ST/PWD/DA are given 5% relaxation which means they should have more than 45% in their graduation.
- Degree of graduation must be granted by a university formed under the act of parliament of India In other words, it must be recognized by the state/central government.
- Final year appearing candidates or candidates who are waiting for their results can also apply for the exam. They are allowed to join the institute provisionally and have to submit their all certificate on or before the 30th of June. If they failed to present the certificate then it can lead to revoking of admission.
