CAT 2024 Admit Card Release: All You Need to Know

Common Admission Test popularly known as the CAT exam 2024 is one of the most awaited exams in the country. Its admit cards are released on November 5, 2024.

Aspirants who want to mark a key milestone and aim to secure admission to the country’s most prestigious schools such as Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other leading B-schools must get ready.

This year, 2024, IIM Calcutta is administering the CAT where the test is scheduled to occur on November 24, 2024. A candidate can download their admit cards by logging into the official portal, iimcat.ac.in or http://iimcat.ac.in, don’t forget to use your unique registration ID and password.

How to Download the CAT 2024 Admit Card

If you are looking to download your CAT 2024 admit card, follow this process:

1. Visit the CAT 2024 official website (https://iimcat.ac.in/)
2. Log in using your registration ID and password.
3. Select the “CAT Exam Admit Card 2024” option you see in the dashboard.
4. Open the admit card, download it, and print a copy of that.

Remember, you need to bring this document (admit card) for entering the exam along with your government-issued photo ID to the test centre.

Key Details on the CAT 2024 Admit Card

Your CAT admit card will include crucial information like the candidate’s (your) name, registration number, exam date and time, test centre details, a Google Map link for navigation, and important instructions for exam day.

CAT 2024 Exam Structure and Schedule

CAT 2024 will be held in three sessions: morning, afternoon, and evening. The exam is held across more than 170 cities in the country. More than 400 CAT exam centers are there for students’ convenience.

The test follows a computer-based format, where you will get three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). In order to make candidates manage their time effectively, each section will be timed.

As a CAT aspirant, you can familiarize yourself with the digital format and interface with a mock test that happens in the second week of November 2024.

Exam Day Guidelines

On exam day (November 24, 2024), candidates are needed to:

Bring a printed copy of their admit card with their original and photocopy of a government-issued photo ID.
Arrive at the test center at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card to avoid any rush or delays.
Use only the designated entry points at the center as specified in the instructions.

You cannot carry any personal items, such as electronic devices or pre-signed admit cards, as they are prohibited inside the exam hall. Candidates will be given a notepad and pen for rough work, which you need to return after the exam.
